Asian Sweet & Savory Peanut Salad Dressing is rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with peanut butter, honey, soy sauce, lemon, garlic, and toasted sesame oil. It’s bold enough to coat crunchy cabbage salads, smooth enough to drizzle over bowls, and especially perfect for my Asian Peanut Crunch Chicken Salad — and I’ll include exactly what I used.
Ingredients
Makes: about ½ cup (8 tablespoons)
Total Time: 5 minutes
3 tablespoons natural peanut butter
1 tablespoon soy sauce (I use the reduced-sodium one)
1 tablespoon seasoned rice vinegar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
½ tablespoon toasted sesame oil
2 tablespoons honey
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1–3 tablespoons warm water (to thin)
Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk together peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, lemon juice, sesame oil, honey, and pressed garlic.
Add warm water 1 tablespoon at a time until the dressing becomes smooth and pourable.
Taste and adjust:
Add more lemon for brightness
Add a drizzle of honey for extra sweetness
Add a splash of soy sauce for deeper savory flavor
The dressing should be creamy but fluid enough to evenly coat salad ingredients.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Dressing will thicken when chilled — whisk in 1–2 teaspoons warm water before serving.
Stir well before using.
Works beautifully tossed into cabbage salads, drizzled over grain bowls, or used as a dip for fresh vegetables.
